The show starred Carmine Giovinazzo, Jake Busey, Dale Godboldo, Jolie Jenkins, and Verne Troyer. Although Shasta McNasty premiered with less-than-favorable reviews from critics, the program was nominated for a People's Choice Award for best new comedy.
