Jean-Marc Vallée is a Canadian film director screenwriter and film editor from Quebec. After studying film at the Université du Québec à Montréal Vallée went on to make a number of acclaimed short films including Stéréotypes Les Fleurs magiques and Les Mots magiques. His debut feature Black List was nominated for nine Genie Awards including nods for Vallée's direction and editing. His fourth feature film C. R. A. Z. Y.
