I remember Marcia, Jacks first wife telling me about the 2 of them travelling on a  ship to one of his many golf matches and their fellow passengers kept looking at Jack and whispering. Marcia was talking to a fellow passenger when she was not with Jack and the passenger not knowing that Jack and Marcia were together whispers to Marcia that several passengers had seen John Dillinger on the ship and looks towards the approaching Jack; there was a resemblance for sure. Jack got a big kick out of it and didn't bother setting anyone straight to his true identity for the rest of the voyage. They didn't have Facebook 90 years ago. Whats strange is that no one tried to arrest him. Marcia also related to me that one of the reasons Jack never turned pro is because his father considered golf a gentlemans' game not to be played for money. I've heard from people that played with Jack that his gift was putting. Jack told my now belated husband Timothy that the new generation of golfer would be more of an athlete, stronger and larger with great driving skills.
